Komatic
Komatic, a producer from Bedford, originary from North-East England. He has always been attracted by electronic music, meeting this genre for the first time after listening to the first albums of Prodigy, “Experience” and "Music for the Jilted Generation", following Massive Attack and a little bit later Chicane. Komatic discovered Drum and Bass listening to tapes around 1992-1993 and here started his wish to become a DJ. “I remember how I was once going to raves like Evolution and World Dance at Sanctuary, concentrating, staring at the DJs` hands and trying to see what they were doing. I was fascinated”.
Step by step, he bought his first mixer; “I couldn`t afford 2 discs, so I started to learn how to use a normal hi-fi disc without a pitch control and a CD player. I used to practice holding the disc with my fingers on the rhythm of the CD tracks. It was a difficult setup, but it taught me how to mix quite fast! When I got discs with pitch control, at an instant everything was as it should have been!”
He was a resident at Raindance, he won the “breaking new talent” competition at Helter Skelter and National Student DJ at Ministry of Sound. After purchasingthe first computer, he never stopped producing music. In the last years, things have started to advance. He got to the BBC 1Xtra playlists, with "Ring The Alarm", his first release. He continued being appreciated by DJs Chrissy Chris and Bailey at Radio BBC 1Xtra, both of them including tunes like "Vicious","Night Drive", "Solution" and "Human Kinetic" in their mixes. He has also received appreciations from Nerm and DCode - Radio 1, for "Black and Gold remix" becoming a permanent name in the shows. The song “Vicious” was signed at Spearhead, "Lucid" and "Night Fell" at Phunkfiction, "Jazz Club" and "Remain Free" at Frequency Factory and "Simple Complexities" at Ennex Records. With the success, the weekly show at Bassdrive Radio also came over.
Together with Technique`s “Technicolour”, they also complete themselves as producers; LTJ Bukem, Annie Mac, Grooverider and High Contrast are just some of the few who have KOMATIC`s tunes in their disc bags .

Komatic a descoperit Drum and Bass-ul ascultand casete prin anii 1992-1993 de aici dorinta de a deveni DJ. "Imi amintesc cum mergeam mai demult la rave-uri precum Evolution si World Dance la Sanctuary doar concentrandu-ma, uitandu-ma la mainile DJ-ilor si incercam sa-mi dau seama ce faceau. Eram fascinat".
Treptat si-a cumparat primul mixer; "Nu imi permiteam 2 platane,asa ca am inceput sa invat sa folosesc un platan hi-fi normal fara pitch control, si un CD player.Obisnuiam sa exersez tinand disc-ul cu degetele in ritm cu piesele de pe CD. A fost un setup greoi, dar m-a invatat sa mixez destul de repede! Cand am primit platane cu pitch control,dintr-o data totul a fost asa cum trebuia".
A fost rezident la Raindance, castigand competitia "breaking new talent" la Helter Skelter,si National Student DJ la Ministry of Sound. Dupa achizitionarea primului computer, nu s-a mai oprit productia muzicala. In ultimii ani, lucrurile au inceput sa progreseze. A ajuns pe playlist-urile de la BBC 1Xtra cu "Ring The Alarm", primul sau release. A continuat sa fie apreciat de DJ-ii Chrissy Chris si Baileyla Radio BBC 1Xtra, ambii incluzand in mixurile lor piese precum "Vicious","Night Drive", "Solution" si "Human Kinetic". De asemenea au urmat aprecieri din partea lui Nerm si DCode - Radio 1, pentru "Black and Gold remix" devenind un nume permanent in emisiuni. Piesa "Vicious" a fost semnata la Spearhead, "Lucid" si "Night Fell" la Phunkfiction, "Jazz Club" si "Remain Free" la Frequency Factory si "Simple Complexities" la Ennex Records. Odata cu succesul a venit si emisiunea saptamanala pe Bassdrive Radio.
Impreuna cu Technique's "Technicolour", se completeaza ca si producatori; LTJ Bukem, Annie Mac, Grooverider si High Contrast sunt doar dintre putinii care au in geanta de discuri piese ale lui KOMATIC.
